Minister Davies is encouraging seniors to enter the Seniors’ Stories writing competition before 1 June 2018.
While welcoming a room full of enthusiastic attendees to the fifth and final Seniors’ Stories writing workshop held in the State Library recently, Minister Davies urged all NSW seniors to submit a story in the Seniors’ Stories vol. 4 writing competition.
The competition is open to all Seniors Card members throughout NSW who are interested in sharing their stories. The top 100 stories selected from the competition will be published in Seniors’ Stories vol. 4, which will be launched by the Minister in October 2018.
Last year, the Minister launched Seniors’ Stories vol. 3 in front of the 100 authors and their families at a function held at NSW Parliament House.
This year, the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW organisation has been brought on board to coordinate the writing workshops and competition, to increase the reach and opportunity for more seniors to get involved.
Further information regarding the short story writing competition, including an online entry form can be found here on the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW website. Alternatively, you can contact Competition Manager Cate Plink on 0458 375 256 or email email@example.com.
Competition entries close 1 June 2018.
