The Office of the Public Guardian acts as a substitute decision-maker for someone who does not have the capacity to make decisions.

The Guardianship Tribunal – appoints guardians for people who are incapable of making their own decisions.

The Protective Commissioner is a legally appointed public official who protects and administers the financial affairs and property of people unable to make financial decisions for themselves.
