Learn more about the Vision Australia Information Library Service.
Please let us assist in re-introducing you, or someone you know, to the joys of reading.
Did you know the Vision Australia Information Library Service has over 35,000 titles in audio and 11,000 Titles in braille with the collection growing monthly?
As a member of the Public Library system we have titles including fiction, nonfiction, magazines and newspapers with the only difference being is they are in audio format, braille and some e-text.
As the leading Australian print disability library, we not only provide titles to people who are blind or have low vision, but also to the wider print disability community. This includes people who are unable to hold or manipulate books, such as Parkinson's and arthritis sufferers, or people with perceptual disabilities like Dyslexia, with these being just a few examples.
We are reaching out to the community to engage with you and provide information on our service. I would welcome the opportunity to have a conversation with you about our Library and how we can assist and ensure the wondrous world of reading is not lost to anyone who is now unable to manage a print book, magazine or newspaper.
The Vision Australia Information Library Service also provides Audio Description service at participating theaters and transcription of personal standard print items like phone and electricity accounts into an accessible format.
